Meet Dr. Ford
General Cardiologist and Non-invasive imaging Fellow
Education: MD BHSc FRACP
Dr Chris Ford is a consultant cardiologist with a wide range of interests including non-invasive imaging, heart failure and wearable heart rhythm technologies. Born in Canada, he obtained his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa before moving to Victoria to study medicine at the University of Melbourne. He trained in general medicine at St. Vincent’s hospital followed by cardiology at Eastern Health, Monash Health and Frankston Hospital. He is currently undertaking an additional fellowship at Monash Heart in non-invasive imaging.
Dr Ford has published in international medical journals as well as presented abstracts at international medical conferences.
When Dr Ford is away from the hospital, you will find him at the ice hockey rink or enjoying time with his wife and son. He has embraced AFL and rugby since moving to Australia, but still struggles with the slower pace of cricket!
